Track A — the Americas
Your country is on the road
If your team is based in one of the 35 sovereign countries of the Americas, you can apply for a national chapter stage in your own country. This is the standard route into the convoy: you drive familiar ground, with local plates, local documents and local knowledge that the expedition needs.
The path
From application to confirmation
- 01Select your country and the chapter you want to drive.
- 02Submit your driver, team and vehicle profile.
- 03Pass document, insurance and safety screening.
- 04Attend the national briefing and technical inspection.
- 05Receive official chapter confirmation and your stage plan.
What we require
- Valid licence for the vehicle category and clean recent driving record
- Vehicle registered and insured with cover valid for the stage
- Proven off-road experience appropriate to the terrain of your chapter
- Recovery points, suitable tires and a mechanically sound vehicle
- Ability to self-fund your own fuel, food, accommodation and repairs
- Acceptance of expedition rules, convoy discipline and the risk notice
Before you apply
- — Up to two guest vehicles may represent a national chapter at any one time.
- — Strong teams may be evaluated as continuation candidates for the next country.
- — Guest vehicles do not cross the Darién Gap with the core expedition.
The application

Answer as precisely as you can. Vague vehicle and experience answers are the most common reason an application stops at the first screening.
All applications are subject to approval. Participation requires signed agreements, valid documents, suitable insurance, technical compliance, medical readiness and acceptance of expedition rules. Agreements, insurance obligations, risk acknowledgements, responsibilities and legal limitations will be defined by qualified counsel in the relevant jurisdictions. Sensitive personal and medical information is never collected in public views.
