Track B — rest of the world
Coming from outside the Americas
Teams from Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania are welcome, but the path is different. You are not driving home roads: you must solve visas, temporary vehicle import, shipping or rental, and a language barrier before you reach the start of a chapter. We screen international teams earlier and more strictly for exactly that reason.
The path
From application to confirmation
- 01Tell us which chapter you want and how you intend to arrive with a vehicle.
- 02Submit your driver, team and vehicle profile, plus your shipping or rental plan.
- 03Pass document, visa-feasibility, insurance and safety screening.
- 04Confirm temporary import paperwork and cross-border cover.
- 05Attend the briefing and technical inspection on arrival, then receive confirmation.
What we require
- Passport validity and realistic visa or entry permission for every country on your stage
- International driving permit accepted in the chapter country
- Vehicle solution: shipping with carnet de passages, long-term rental, or a vehicle already in the region
- Insurance that is valid for a foreign-registered or rented vehicle on the stage
- At least one team member able to work in Spanish, Portuguese or fluent English
- Budget for shipping, customs, deposits and contingency, fully self-funded
Before you apply
- — International places are limited and are allocated after national teams in the same chapter.
- — We can introduce you to logistics and rental partners, but the expedition does not import vehicles on your behalf.
- — Apply early: shipping and carnet procedures commonly take several months.
The application
Tell us about your team and your 4x4
Answer as precisely as you can. Vague vehicle and experience answers are the most common reason an application stops at the first screening.
All applications are subject to approval. Participation requires signed agreements, valid documents, suitable insurance, technical compliance, medical readiness and acceptance of expedition rules. Agreements, insurance obligations, risk acknowledgements, responsibilities and legal limitations will be defined by qualified counsel in the relevant jurisdictions. Sensitive personal and medical information is never collected in public views.
